Your Data, Your Case, Your Control

Privacy Policy

Plain-English answers about what we collect, why we collect it, and who can see your case documents. Short version: you stay in control, and we never sell your personal information.

Effective date: June 1, 2026 · Operated by DUIINFO.NET

The one-paragraph summary. We collect your account email, the case documents you choose to upload, and basic usage data. Payments run through Stripe, so your card number never touches our servers. Your case documents are private by default and are shared only when you explicitly share them through the portal’s sharing controls. We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

1. Who We Are

DUIINFO.NET is a legal-information and self-help document platform. We publish educational content about DUI law, and our portal lets registered users store case documents, track deadlines, and generate motion templates. DUIINFO.NET is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice; for how that affects your use of the service, see our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect three categories of information:

  • Account information. Your email address, your password (stored only as a secure hash), and the plan you select. If you upgrade to a paid plan, Stripe collects your billing details — your card number is transmitted directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. We receive only a payment token, the last four digits of your card, and your subscription status.
  • Case documents and form data. Documents you upload (citations, police reports, lab results, court paperwork) and information you enter into motion templates. These are stored in Supabase-hosted storage and are visible only to you unless you share them.
  • Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and basic analytics that tell us which guides and tools people use, so we can improve them.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the service — your account, document storage, deadline calendar, and motion generation.
  • Process subscription payments through Stripe.
  • Send transactional email: account confirmations, deadline reminders you set, billing receipts, and security notices.
  • Understand aggregate usage so we can improve guides and tools.
  • Protect the platform — detecting abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.

We do not use the contents of your case documents to train AI models, build marketing profiles, or for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We are not in the data business; we are in the legal-information business. There is no advertising network behind this site buying lists of people researching DUI charges.

5. Your Case Documents and Sharing Controls

Your uploaded case documents are private by default. The portal includes granular, per-item sharing controls: if you choose to work with an attorney through the platform, that attorney can see only the specific items you have explicitly shared — not your whole workspace. You can revoke sharing at any time.

We will not disclose your case documents to anyone except (a) as you direct through those sharing controls, (b) to the service providers that physically store and transmit the data (described in Section 6), or (c) if we are legally compelled to do so by a valid subpoena, court order, or similar legal process. If the law permits, we will notify you before disclosing your data in response to legal process.

6. Service Providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the platform, each of which processes data only on our behalf:

  • Supabase — database and document storage hosting.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe’s handling of your billing data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
  • Hosting and email providers — serving the website and delivering transactional email.

These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations and may not use your data for their own purposes.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you logged in and keep your session secure. We also use lightweight analytics to measure aggregate traffic — which pages are read, which tools are used — so we can improve the site. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or behavioral ad targeting. You can block cookies in your browser, but the portal’s logged-in features will not work without the session cookie.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account information and documents for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual documents at any time from the portal. If you close your account, or if you email us a deletion request, we will delete your account data and uploaded documents within 30 days, except for minimal records we must keep for billing, tax, or legal-compliance purposes (for example, Stripe payment records).

To request deletion, email security@rothandroth.net from your account email address.

9. Security

We take security seriously because we know what is in these documents. Measures include:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS) for every connection and encryption at rest for stored documents.
  • Row-level security in the database, so each user’s data is isolated at the database layer — not just the application layer.
  • Hashed passwords; we cannot see or recover your password.
  • Card data handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 processor.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law. Security researchers can report vulnerabilities to security@rothandroth.net.

10. Children

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email or a prominent notice in the portal before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.

12. Contact Us

Questions about this policy or your data? Email security@rothandroth.net or write to us at 13430 N. Scottsdale Rd, Suite 206, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. You can also reach us through the contact page.
